Slow cooker, meat and drive?
I make BBQ chicken in a crock pot for tomorrow it will take 7 hours to cook, fully air conditioned. I then a second and a half hours to Virginia with her. My cooler is too small to accommodate the slow cooker, is it okay not to have a slow cooker on ice during this time or do I need to find a way to make this work? I'll still need to cook the time I get there, and can not save in another container …
It should be good once it is brought to the temperature it will cook most of your path when home and then it will still be a bit hot on the car ride there, but make sure your slow cooker has a lid lock! you do not want Barbecue chicken around your car! Once you go put it on the counter and continue to cook remember to keep hot food hot or distance as possible and cold foods cold and fresh as possible so they stay fresh!
