If I ran a London Broil steak cut into cubes, can I cook the rest of the way in a slow cooker?
This is a question ask the question satay asked not too long ago about the satay pot luck. That's what I think: Marinate the steak the night to seize on the grill, cut into cubes, put it in the crockpot and turn on the next morning to finish cooking for several hours in the hours while I'm at work. I want it done before 11:30 but not boiled or baked. Serve with various sauces: curry, peanut, teriyaki ginger? Have toothpicks available for people digging the steak out of the crock pot and eat. This is not a satay itself (but no one knows you that was what the original idea was), but do you think it will be finished? London Broil is the best steak to use? Thank you, Cherrie
Searing it together cubing then defeats the purpose of searing. Searing is to keep the juice and flavor.You could cook throughout the crockpot, if necessary, or a cube, then enter.
