Is there a way to make split pea soup in a slow cooker / crock pot?
This is my first making pea soup. I know he there is a certain way, but I do not know how. Do I put it on high for the first few hours, then descent down for the day or ret to cook on low all day or what? And I use just a little ham, diced in tiny pieces, then when I put it in? As long as you have the ingredients right there is really no way you can screw the split pea soup in a crockpot. I put the ham in immediately. As she stews it gives it more flavor.
