
Looking for a house chicken noodle / rice soup recipe?
I intend to make chicken soup and homemade noodles this weekend. I was making soup in our slow cooker but our slow cooker is not big so I'll make this soup in large pot on the fire. My first question is should I use chicken stock or chicken broth? Here are the ingredients that I use: chicken broth or chicken stock Cubed Chicken Celery Carrots Beans Green Onion Ginger Garlic Olive Oil Let noodles or rice These are the ingredients that have to date. Are there other ingredients that would be good taste in this recipe? I have not decided if I'll use noodles or rice, but I'm leaning toward Noodles. If I use Noodles should I do cook before adding other ingredients? If I use rice do I need to cook the rice before adding other ingredients? How long do I cook soup?
I cook rice or pasta before adding to soup. This way, you keep the stock and it is not absorbed by rice and noodles. I do not use ginger, but the leaf is good.
