this is the recipe I use. I should add that I just chopped parsley or chives to my dumplings. it just gives something a little Nice and more! Crock Pot Chicken and Dumplings 1 potato, peeled and chopped 2 carrots, chopped 1 (14 ounces) chicken broth 1 / 4 cup flour 1 / 2 teaspoon teaspoon of salt 1 / 2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1 / 4 c. Tea pepper 2 pounds boneless chicken thighs, skinless, cut into 2-inch 1 (9 oz) frozen peas 1 1 / 2 cup baking mix 1 / 2 cup milk in a 3-4 quart pot saucepan, combine the potatoes and carrots. In a medium bowl, combine chicken broth, flour and spices and mix well until smooth. Pour over vegetables in slow cooker. Add chicken. Cover the slow cooker. Cook over low heat for 6-8 hours until chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in center. Add peas and cover again. Cook on high for 20 minutes until peas are hot. In a small bowl, combine baking mix and milk and mix just until blended. Do not overmix. Drop by spoonfuls over hot chicken mixture in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high power for 20-25 minutes until meatballs are cooked, are sweet, and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
