I'm Teriyaki chicken in slow cooker – what are your favorite Crock Pot recipes?
I'll serve with rice tonight. Yummy, keep them coming. I'll add to my cookbook. Too difficult to choose, they all sound Great! BTW teriyki chicken was superb!
From pork (slow cooker) I found this recipe years ago and is a favorite at potlucks. Freezes well for easy quick meals. 4 lbs pork roast (shoulder or a cigarette butt are good) 2 large onions 1 cup ginger ale 1 (18 ounce) bottle of favorite barbecue sauce (I prefer Sweet Baby Ray's) 10 servings 1. Slice onion and place in slow cooker. 2. Put the roast and cover with the other onion, sliced. Pour over the ginger ale. Cover and cook over heat for about 12 hours. 3. Remove meat, drain and place the onions, discard all liquid. With two forks, shred meat, discard any remaining fat, bone or skin. Most of the fat has melted. 4. Return the meat and onions to the crock pot, mix barbecue sauce. Continue cooking for another 6 hours on LOW. 5. Serve with hamburger buns or rolls and additional barbecue sauce. Leftovers freeze well. TIP: freeze-made sandwiches — a ball of meat on a bun, well wrapped. These make a great quick meal or snack. To reheat, remove wrapping, wrap in a towel paper, and ZAP 1-2 minutes in the microwave.
