Does this sound good recipe? Should I make changes to the recipe?

I'll do this for the 1st time today. Should I bring changes to the recipe???? TURKEY BREAST CrockPot Brown 3 slices of turkey bacon in a saucepan until almost crisp. Add carrots 1c minced onion, chopped 1/2c. Cook 2-3 min. the drain pan fat. In another bowl mix 1 can cream of chicken soup, 2 cans of broth, 1 / 4 c. marjarom tea, 1 / 4 c. teaspoon pepper. Pour the sauce into a crock pot. Add 1 pound turkey breast cut into small pieces and 1 cup brown rice and wild vegetables and bacon mixture. Cook on low for 6-7 hours. Is it good sound? Should I make changes? The rice is mixed whole grain brown and wild rice. How long will it take to cook in the liquid in the slow cooker???

turkey bacon is not much fat in it, so I would add a little canola oil. Next brown the turkey pieces in the bacon before adding the vegetables. Browning the meat will add more flavor to pot. So you want to add a little salt to the vegetables sweat. Add a little garlic to the mix, and some celery.I would use one of the boxes broth to deglaze the pan Veggie. Change pepper and white pepper, it will be better in the final dish. Finally I would separate the rice and add it just before service. Put the vegetables in the pan after you remove the vegetables and add the broth and cook. You can also add some grated parm.
