Can I cook a backstrap in the crockpot? If yes, how?

A friend of my husband gave us this great piece of meat he called a backstrap venison. He said it is expensive and really good. He gave us special seasoning for her too. How do I cook? Can I put it in the crockpot as a roast?

im sure you could and it would probably be good, but I always rolled in eggs and then seasoned flour, then fry in a skillet cook the eggs you use the left over flour to the gravy
